Sleepy Hollow Cemetery in Sleepy Hollow, New York, is the final resting place of many famous people, including Washington Irving, whose 1820 short story "The Legend of Sleepy Hollow" is set in the adjacent burying ground of Sleepy Hollow.
Over 45,000 people are buried there, with some graves as early as 1849 (the same year the cemetery was founded!)
